Mel Robbins
I watched this game in the airport Sunday night and the whole terminal gasped when University of Central Florida missed that shot and lost the game.

I say the measure of a person is not how they act when they win, it’s how they act when they lose. It hurts when you lose. And too many men grow up being told to “chin up” “man up”or “stop being a p***y” and learn to bury their feelings.

Watching Coach Johnny Dawkins (@coach_dawkins on Twitter) talk to these men and honor their vulnerability is incredible. He just demonstrated that when you give it your all and miss — tears, hugs, sobbing — it’s all part of the game (of life).

It’s powerful to see men express their vulnerability, and Coach Dawkins created the space for competition and psychological safety to co-exist — and that makes him a true champion.

Thanks Jason Wilson for sharing!
