In this course you will learn how to effectively use your device – learn about downloading and navigating useful apps, be shown ways to control your privacy to keep you secure online, which settings are important and how to manage updates on your device. Bring along any questions you have and leave with skills to confidently use your device to connect yourself into the digital world. Purpose of the Course:
If you have received a new smartphone or tablet, or recently upgraded your device, and would like to learn its’ new capabilities, this 6-hour course will help set you up to use your pocket computer to your advantage on a daily basis. Learners need to bring their own devices.
- Participants will learn
– how important settings are, privacy of information
– how to access different services and sites in everyday life, syncing different devices
– how to manipulate (add, use, delete) applications
– how to use the camera effectively, storage for photos etc
– Cloud sharing
Other Information: This course is not designed for Apple Devices (i-phone, i-pad etc)
