Course Information for Sourdough Breadmaking
Course Tutor(s): SandRa Timmins
Purpose of the Course: Practical Life Skills. Food security.
A practical, hands-on workshop where learners experience making and working with sourdough, and yeast bread (if time allows). Learners will also take home their own sourdough starter to be able to make bread at home.
Participants Must Provide:
Large mixing bowl (minimum of 20cm diameter)
Tea Towel
Spatula
Long Wooden Mixing Spoon
Jar for sourdough starter
1cup Measuring Cup
Learners need to have at home:
Loaf tins for baking bread or
A dutch oven for baking bread
Baking Paper
