Do you have lots of small areas around your home that need attention but you’re not quite sure where to start?  This full-day workshop is designed to grow your knowledge and build confidence to carry out basic maintenance around your home and on your car.

Our experienced tutor can answer all of your questions and teach you many new skills.

Course Information for DIY Skills Featherston (WAI-36366)

Course Tutor:  Mark Shepherd

Purpose of the Course:  To grow your knowledge and build confidence to carry out basic maintenance around your home and on your car.

  • Participants will learn about…
    • basic skills for home maintenance 
    • leaky plumbing, accessing water toby
    • use of power tools
    • minor electrical issues, & fuse box
    • mending holes in walls, hinges
    • basic car maintenance (under the bonnet, tyres)

    Mark is incredibly knowledgeable about all things maintenance and DIY, so is able to answer any questions, and encourages learners to ask.

Other Information:  If learners have a car and power tools, bring them along.  Learners are encouraged to bring questions or photos of DIY problems at home.

Pre-requisites (if any):  Nil.

Participants Must Provide:  BYO Lunch – to share.  Morning and afternoon tea provided.
