France has opened it’s borders and travel will be coming back to mind as things settle. You can be planning and anticipating travel in the meantime, preparing for future journeys.
Or maybe you would like to learn French just to give your brain something new to think about.
Come and learn some really useful beginners French vocabulary and sentences and learn about some cultural aspects of the French way of life.

Course Information for … French for Travellers. #07347
Course Tutor(s): Marilyn Bouzaid is a local teaching and theatrical identity who has now retired from teaching French
at the local high school but maintains her love for the language and French culture.
Purpose of the Course: This six week course, ‘French for Travellers’ will cover basic language and cultural needs for enjoying your time in France and to give you skills and suggestions to cope with daily activities involved with travelling in a foreign country.
- Participants will learn about…
- The sounds and sentence structure of the French language; greetings
- Numbers, calendars and telling time, reading timetables, handling money
- Ordering food in cafes, restaurants,
- navigating travel; buses, taxis, trains, the underground
Other Information: Marilyn will cover places of interest to learners and some cultural tips and knowledge
Pre-requisites (if any): No prior knowledge is needed.
Participants Must Provide: Learners would benefit from access to an English / French dictionary. This could be book or a digital app on your tablet or laptop.
