Authors *Ali Foster and Catherine Cooper have written a book called,  “Good for You Helen Dew”. It focuses on Helen’s sustainability work in the community and has strong messages for young audiences around how they can demonstrate leadership in sustainability in their own school and wider communities. It looks at the themes of consumerism and promotes recycling and buying local.  

Workshop Content:
Students will spend the morning with Te Kura o Papatuanuku learning about an element of sustainability and the science behind that element.
The afternoon will be spent with Ali and Catherine working on a written or illustrated piece of work.
Ali and Catherine will also set a challenge to the students to pass on what they have learnt back at school and introduce a competition to all students. 

All will be invited to the official book launch in August. 

Expectation:
Students to return to school and pass on what they have learnt and all competition details  
Teachers, Teacher Aide or an interested parent are welcome to attend.
