Navigating Children’s Brains

FOCUS WILL BE ON 10-16 YEAR OLDS (TWEENAGE) 

Our youth live in a complicated and sometimes uncertain world.  We want to help you as a parent of youth to support your child/children through life well resourced and prepared.  We will be looking at:

Hierarchy of needs
Brain development
Setting boundaries
Technology and youth
Stress management

Philosophy:
Children develop best in a safe, stimulating environment, i.e. when their caregivers are confident in their parenting.

Goals
To build the capacity and understanding of child rearing, of parents/caregivers.
To enhance their ability to cope with the ongoing challenges of parenting through different ages and stages.
To extend caregivers knowledge of how to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children.

10am – 12pm
at 41 Perry Street, Masterton
