Pahiatua – Sewing Sustainable Projects – starting 6th August – #07404

This class will enable you to build on your sewing skills.  You may have wanted to upcycle existing garments into new items. This is your chance to plan a project, design a pattern, sew and complete.  Gain more advanced knowledge and skills with tutor Billy.

 

If you have a sewing machine/ overlocker that you can bring along that would be helpful, but we have sewing machines available – let us know when you enrol.

Course Tutor(s):   Billy Gordon has a background in design, having had her own high fashion label for many years then moving into handcraft design. She has skills and experience in designing and manufacturing clothing, accessories and home craft.

Purpose of the Course:  This course is designed for those who have prior experience in sewing.

By the end of the course learners will be able to:

  • have designed and completed their own sewing project.


Other Information: 
 Please bring your own material, thread, and ideas.  If you have a sewing machine that you can bring along that would be helpful, bring it’s instruction book too.

Pre-requisites (if any):  NA

Participants Must Provide:  Material and thread to complete their own project, your own sewing kit if you have one.

REAP May Provide on request (if any):  Sewing machines are available to use please let us know on enrolment if you need one.
