Managing Behaviour – This workshop allows you to look beyond the behaviour that you are witnessing, exploring the underlying causes for the individual. We will look at some explanations about the causes of challenging behaviour and ways that we can support the young people that we work with.
Sensory Processing – This workshop allows you to experience some of the challenges of having a Sensory Processing Disorder; develop your understanding of how and why individuals can struggle, and look at how you can develop strategies for the young people in your setting.
Autism & Visual Strategies – This workshop allows you to experience some of the challenges of having an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD); develop your understanding of current theory, and explore what it is like living with an ASD. Visual Strategies are proven as a successful strategy for supporting individuals with an ASD and we will explore various ways to utilise them.
Communication – This workshop allows you to explore some of the different components of communication, and what it is like to have communication difficulties. We will look at some strategies that can be used to support communication challenges, and ways that these can be applied to the young people in your setting.
