#WAI-36454 Porotakataka – Circular Knitting
Do you wish you could knit your own beanie, and want to improve your Te Reo Māori? Here is your knitting circle!
As you master the art of knitting on circular needles, you will also learn basic Te Reo Māori kupu you can use when you knit. By the end of this course you will have improved your Te Reo Māori pronunciation, laughed with new friends, and knitted yourself a woollen hat in a fun, friendly environment.

Dates: Sunday Afternoons, 8th August – 22nd August 2021
Times: 1:30pm – 4:30pm (3-weeks)

Cost: $20 with Community Services Card/$40 without Community Services Card (cost includes circular needles and yarn)

Purpose of the Course:
- learn how to knit with circular needles, and learn how to read their knitting.
- knit themselves a hat which can be reproduced at home.
- be able to understand and speak basic Te Reo Māori words that can be used while knitting.
- improve their Te Reo Māori pronunciation.
Pre-requisites (if any): Basic knitting skills
