Te Ataarangi is a total immersion way of learning Te Reo. Te Ataarangi is well-known for the use of coloured Cuisenaire rods as a learning tool. It’s an effective language-learning technique that encourages you to speak. In Te Ataarangi, the language is taught alongside Māori customs and values. Beginner level, and there is an expectation that you will practice between sessions. 

Dates: Starting Thurs 15th February 2024 for 9 weeks

Times: Thursday Evenings 6pm – 8pm
Tutor: Jason Cunningham & Edith Rolls
Venue:Hau Kainga, 15 Queen St, Masterton 

Cost: $10 (for the the whole 9 weeks)

Course Tutor(s): Jason Cunningham and Edith Rolls are experienced Te Ataarangi tutors who share tikanga around the use of Te Reo in the correct situations.

Purpose of the Course: Te Ataarangi is a total immersion way of learning Te Reo. Te Ataarangi is well-known for the use of coloured Cuisenaire rods as a learning tool. It’s an effective language-learning technique that encourages you to speak. In Te Ataarangi, the language is taught alongside Māori customs and values. This class will run for the year in termly blocks.  Course content is determined by the participants.
