Toi Whanake is a progressive year long course beginning with Kōwhaiwhai (scroll drawing), working towards Whakairo (carving).
By the end of this course you will;
Understand and know how to read traditional patterns, and their origins.
Understand tīkanga (protocols) and karakia (prayer) appropriate to each whare toi (art medium)
Limited to 6 Participants – 2 beginner kowhaiwhai spaces available for Term 4
