Toi Whanake is a progressive year long course beginning with Kōwhaiwhai (scrool drawing), working towards Whakairo (carving).
By the end of this course you will;
- Understand and know how to read traditional patterns, and their origins
- Understand tīkanga (protocols) and karakia (prayer) appropriate to each whare toi (art medium)
