Uku Koauau are a type of flute that is carved from clay.
In this workshop you will learn pūrākau (stories) related to uku and taonga Pūoro.
You’ll get to shape, carve and even learn to coax sounds from your very own koauau!
Join us at Pūkaha to learn about the tikanga that surrounds koauau in traditional and contemporary contexts.
