Have you dabbled in upholstery or completed our basics course and keen to learn more advanced skills? This course is designed for people with larger or more complex projects. Perhaps a chaise lounge or wingback chair. ** Please note: Must have previous upholstery skills to join this course.

Course Tutors: Judy Jeffery and Kath Wilkie
Purpose of the Course: Experienced tutors teach the whole process of deconstruction of the old piece of furniture to the new completed piece.
- Participants will further extend their knowledge about…
- how to deconstruct the old piece of furniture, removing fabric and stuffing keeping what is needed for new pattern cutting
- re making all components from springs, stuffing and top fabric
- Sewing the new pieces to fit the furniture
- finishing techniques to make your project look the best
Pre-requisites (if any): BYO furniture project to remake. Learners will be contacted by tutor prior to course starting to ensure piece is suitable for a beginner to upholster and can be completed within 2-day timeframe. **Please note: this course is not for beginners.
Participants Must Provide: The tutors have a tool box which they are generous in sharing however you will need your own tools such as a staple gun, hammer, screwdriver, pliers, tacks and staples.
