Upholstery Weekend – Martinborough 16 & 17 March 2024

Join our course to learn the essential skills of deconstruction, webbing, padding, and reupholstery for a small project. Whether you’re looking to acquire a new skill or simply want to give a piece of furniture a new lease on life, this course is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience.

Suitable projects include: blanket box, occasional chair, dining chairs, footstool or check with us to confim.

Supplies are available for purchase from the tutors, making it easy for you to get started.

Course Information for #44732 Weekend upholstery Martinborough

Course Tutors: Judy Jeffery and Kath Wilkie

Purpose of the Course:  

  • Over 1 weekend (16Hours) attendees will be shown the basic processes of furniture upholstery, deconstruction, webbing & padding then how to recover with new fabric.

Pre-requisites (if any):  BYO furniture project to remake.  Learners can contact the tutor prior to course starting to ensure piece is suitable for a beginner to upholster and can be completed within 2-day timeframe.

Participants Must Provide:

Bring any tools you have,staple gun, pliers, hammer, tacklifter etc.

Please bring an old thick blanket for the tabletop to work on and a drop sheet for the floor.

Tutors will have available to purchase wadding, webbing, foam etc at the venue.

The tutors are happy to talk to you on phone before course to discuss fabric requirements etc.
