Whether you’re looking to acquire a new skill or simply want to give a piece of furniture a new lease on life, this course is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience.

Supplies are available for purchase from the tutors, making it easy for you to get started.

COURSE INFORMATION FOR #45482 Upholstery Weekend

Course Tutors: Judy Jeffery and Kath Wilkie

Purpose of the Course:  

  • Over 1 weekend (16Hours) attendees will be shown the basic processes of furniture upholstery, deconstruction, webbing & padding then how to recover with new fabric.

Pre-requisites (if any):  BYO furniture project to remake.  Learners will be contacted by tutor prior to course starting to ensure piece is suitable for a beginner to upholster and can be completed within 2-day timeframe. 

Participants Must Provide:

Bring any tools you have: staple gun, pliers, hammer, tacklifter etc.

Please bring an old thick blanket for the tabletop to work on and a drop sheet for the floor.

Tutors will have available to purchase wadding,webbing, foam etc at the venue.

Learners will able to contact the tutors once the enrolment fee is paid. (Phone number provided after payment).

BYO Lunch.  Afternoon tea provided.

Note: you will be required to take away your rubbish from your project.
