What is YouthLaw?
YouthLaw Aotearoa is a community law centre and charity for children and young people nationwide.  We provide free legal services to children and young people under 25 who are unable to access legal help elsewhere, or those acting on their behalf.  We are the only organisation operating across NZ where children and young people can access free legal services just for them.
YouthLaw Roadshow!
We are excited to share that YouthLaw’s Legal Education team will be going on a bit of a road trip, putting our wheels in motion to head around the country.  We aim to connect with our fellow Community Law Centres across Aotearoa and also work with youth and services who work with youth, within those regions.
I am writing to share with you that we will be in the Wellington and Wairarapa area from Monday 2 August – Thursday 5 August 2021.  So, if you feel your service, staff development or youth would be interested in youth rights and the law, we can arrange to come in and share a session, some information and a smile – all for free!
Listed below are an example of some topics we can cover, including, but not limited to;
Legal Ages in Aotearoa
Employment Law
Tenancy Law
Rights with Police
Cyber Bullying
Sex and Consent
Youth Justice System
UNCROC and Discrimination
Education Law
Youth Rights and Responsibilities
If you are interested in having us come in, please let me know if there is a particular time and date that works for you
