Do you love working with youth? Let’s talk!

REAP Wairarapa has a proven track record of success with rangatahi, working with them to set pathways, and upskill into sustainable employment and further training.

We are looking to build on that success with an exciting new initiative.

We are looking for two people to join our team. You’ll be working for 10 hours a week over two days in schools and within the community during the school terms. Be a part of designing, developing and facilitating two innovative, youth-led programmes to help meet the needs of our diverse  12-24 year old Wairarapa Youth.

These will consist of:

1 – A well-being programme using the Te Whare Tapa Wha model for 12-16 year olds in schools.

2 – An enterprise/work-ready skill programme based in the community for 16-24 year olds.

You’ll have:

  • Experience in delivering a positive youth development approach for success
  • An understanding of Tikanga Māori, including the Te Whare Tapa Wha model of well-being in practice
  • Excellent teaching/facilitation experience with this age group
  • A creative, positive and flexible approach to meet the needs of a wide range of rangatahi aged 12-24 years old

Interested? We encourage you to contact us – these roles have so much more scope than we can explain in an ad.

Please contact REAP Wairarapa Education Manager Alison Woollard to discuss your interest on 027 612 970 or via email at alison.woollard@reapwairarapa.nz
