Using the process of learning the art of flax weaving, you will experience Te Reo Māori in action and also lean about the tikanga behind choosing flax and working with it. This is a learn by doing programme where the Te Reo will be incorporated in the doing. You may not even realise that you are learning a wide variety of things as work and talk together.

*Wairarapa Schools Kapa Haka Festival 2022*We had an awesome Day 1 at the Wairarapa Schools Kapa Haka Festival, such amazing performances from Chanel College, Wairarapa College, St Patrick's School, Lakeview School, Tararua College, Gladstone School, Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Wairarapa, Masterton Intermediate School and Wharekura o Wairarapa.So good to see live performance again and for our schools to be able to share their hard work.A big Thank You to all the tutors, teachers and students for your performances, you were all amazing.Day 2 tomorrow.The event is open to the public as well as all whānau of performing groups.
